Comparing JavaScript Frameworks

While reading the YUI 3 forum, I came upon some links which perform some tests using multiple libraries. I found them very useful and will probably use them as a reference from time to time:

How does one get a hold of you?

I searched for a javascript start/stop/reloader and your script came up at http://www.webmasterworld.com/javascript/3348833.htm
I think it does exactly what i would like, but it requires an active x authorization to run in IE, is there a way around that. It needs to run transparent in the background and I would like to start/stop/… it with a function call if I can in an anchor tag. Let me know thanks.

  2. Hi Jake,
I should add a contact form to this site… I’m going to add that to my todo list. :)
With regards to scripts on WebmasterWorld, the best way to reach me is probably to use the StickyMail feature at WebmasterWorld. I took a look at the script you linked to, and just tried it in IE7 with no need for ActiveX authorization (that script isn’t doing anything that would cause ActiveX authorization). So I’m not sure exactly what you’re seeing. I would suggest posting your question in the WebmasterWorld JavaScript forum.

    Thanks for the response.

I haven’t tested it yet but it may be because I am running the file locally. I’ll put it online and check it out.

    Have a great new years!

I stuck it online and didn’t get the authentication request.

BTW I am always looking out for a great JS programmer. Do you do side work/projects/joint ventures?

  5. Glad it worked for you.
At the moment, I am under contract which doesn’t allow for side project work. But if that situation changes, I would certainly be open to discussing the possibility. :)
